Cheerleading Worlds 2020

Cheerleading worlds 2020 is a two day all star cheer and dance competition that brings together athletes from around the globe. Teams compete for a world title in over 30 divisions and categories.

Only top ranked teams at each of the major All Star Cheerleading and Dance events receive bids to attend. More than 120 USASF/IASF member event producers across the United States and 32 international countries host these bid qualifying events. Each year more than 9000 cheer and 3500 dance athletes from over 19 countries compete at The Cheerleading and Dance Worlds.

Team scores are calculated from the results of each of the major All Star Cheerleading or Dance Events in the season and then ranked to determine the top 10 Worlds Bid Qualifying Teams in each level and division leading up to The Cheerleading and Dance Worlds. The top 10 teams will earn a paid bid at the conclusion of the event.

The judging process for this event is carefully controlled with a selection committee made up of IASF officials and event producer representatives who have sent bid-winning teams to the previous Worlds. Each judge is carefully reviewed, must pass a background check and complete athlete abuse prevention training. In addition, judges are selected based on their experience, geographic location, diversity and other criteria/qualifications.

With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to impact the All Star industry, many teams are forced to make tough choices on their season schedules. While some gyms and studios may decide to wait out the storm, others will opt to cancel their season completely. The USASF has announced a plan to keep All Star teams connected, active and healthy during this time of uncertainty.
