Cheerleading Quiz Questions

While cheerleaders are famous for their pom-pom waving and beautiful faces, they’re also capable of flying high in controlled stunts. Cheerleaders train from a young age, and many dream of making it to the Cheerleading World Championships – the largest cheer competition by the United States All-Star Federation.

A cheerleading coach must be confident in his or her decisions, and able to lead the team with a positive attitude. In addition, he or she must be aware of the physical and mental demands of the sport, and know how to keep the team safe. The best coaches are able to see the big picture, but also keep their eye on the individual cheerleaders and understand what they’re going through.

If you’re ready to put your knowledge of the sport to the test, then take our cheerleading quiz questions. From jumping techniques to different cheerleading positions, these questions cover all the bases of the sport.

A straddle jump is a type of jump that’s similar to toe-touches, but it doesn’t touch the floor at all. The base needs to be stonger for this jump, and it’s sometimes called a toe-touch with straddle. A flier is the person who jumps on top of a stunt group. A stunt with two people is known as a partner stunt, and includes the cupie and chair. The bases need to interlock their hands in a partner stunt to hold the flier up. The flier then kicks one leg up and the other down very quickly.
