These young dancers are taking their fitness classes in stilt-like sneakers with springs to help them jump higher than normal. A few cheerleaders have even brought their moms to the classes, so she could help them learn the choreography.

Anne McLaughlin, a former high school cheerleader and licensed Zumba instructor, has been coaching the team since 2014. She attended the College of Saint Benedict and studied abroad in Segovia, Spain, where she was the first CSB dance team alumna to go pro. After college, she toured the NFL as a cheerleader for the Minnesota Vikings and served on the Cheerleader Alumni Board. She has judged and coordinated cheerleading competitions on a national level.
